Our Employment Partnerships
A secondary but equally meaningful part of our mission is providing a stepping stone for those in transition from The Healing Place and CARITAS. Qualified guests of each program provide almost 80 hours of manpower to The Furniture Bank each month, gaining valuable employment and life skills while allowing us to operate at a lower cost.
Our caring and supportive culture creates a unique and safe environment that builds on the twelve step program taught at The Healing Place. Our day starts with morning mediation and the principle that "service is before self." We build on that concept throughout the day and encourage the growth of each individual along his road to independence and recovery. This includes computers skills, life skills and mentoring.
Items donated to the CARITAS Furniture Bank will be given to clients and used to further the mission of CARITAS.
