Want to collect large and small donations with your group? Hosting a furniture or household items drive is a hands-on way for all ages to collect needed items for the CARITAS Furniture Bank. Perfect for a neighborhood association, civic group, church, etc.
It’s easy as one, two, three
Two – We’ll provide marketing materials to help you advertise your drive on posters, newsletters, websites, social media, and email are all great ways to spread the word. Just send your specific design needs to firstname.lastname@example.org!
Three – Get the donations to CARITAS. We are now accepting donations at 2220 Stockton Street M-F 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Fill a Truck
Want to collect large donations with your group? Fill a CARITAS Truck! It’s also easy as one, two, three:
One – Pick a weekend and let us know the details. Call us at (804) 358-0964 or email email@example.com.
Two – We’ll bring a CARITAS Furniture Bank truck to your organization or business for a 3-hour time slot. Two team members will accompany the truck, help load, and monitor the collection. They will also come with donation receipts and instructions for volunteers. The cost for a truck is $200.
Three – Spread the word and fill it up during your event timeframe! We’ll drive it to our warehouse at the end!
Small Items To Collect
Below is a list of items that are easy to collect or purchase and we always need. When you help us collect these items, we can save money and help the clients we serve better.
- Pots, pans, flatware
- Twin sheets, pillows, and pillowcases
- Towels and washcloths
- Grocery Store gift cards
- Cold medicine (nonalcohol)
- Shower shoes and latex gloves
