Contributions from community members like you help us serve each one of these men and women strategically, efficiently and with compassion.
If you are able, please consider making a financial donation to CARITAS. Your gift today will help us through a critical time, reinforce our future operations, and build a stronger, healthier and more hopeful community for us all.

Donate Your Car
Donate your car to CARITAS, and you may be restoring a person’s livelihood. All you need to provide is your car and its title–we do the rest!
Through our “Wheels to Work” program, clients needing reliable transportation to secure work are eligible to purchase donated cars for half their Kelly Blue Book value. This is a huge step towards stability for our clients. Call Clara Stokes at (804) 598-0964 x305 for more information about how to donate your car.
Steps to donate your vehicle:
- Call Marilyn Milio at (804) 343-5008 x406 to make an appointment to drop off your car. Please be sure to bring the title with you.
- If the Kelly Blue Book Value is more than $500, a 1098C will be issued to you along with a thank-you letter for your donation.
- If it is valued under $500, CARITAS will provide a thank-you letter for your donation.
- Your generous donation will remove a major obstacle standing between one of our clients and self-sufficiency. We want to pass along an opportunity, not a problem, so we only accept vehicles that are in drivable condition and have life left in them. CARITAS does not have the ability to make repairs.
If you are interested in learning more about how you can help, please contact Chief Development Officer Clara Stokes at (804) 887-1571 or email@example.com.
To be considered for a gift in these challenging times is an honor in and of itself, and CARITAS would greatly appreciate whatever consideration its friends–new and old–may give in support of our mission. You may not know that CARITAS is funded mostly with private contributions; we rely on the generosity of this community. CARITAS is committed to using your funds wisely. We hold a four-star rating on Charity Navigator, silver status on Guidestar, and we are a Better Business Bureau accredited charity.
